In addition to these detailed profiles, we have
included on this website short profiles of roughly 1500 early
Southern Alberta Pioneers. These have been scanned and converted
to text from our book Pioneer Families of Southern Alberta
that was published in 1993. Copies of this book, which has photographs
and more information about our organization, can be found on the
Alberta
Historical Digitization Project and Canada's
Local Histories Online web-sites or in the Glenbow Museum's
Library and W.R. Castel Central Library in Calgary.
Since 1993, our Historical Committee has collected
profiles of several hundred other
pioneers. We are now pleased to provide access to those on
this website as well.
